Audiobooks.
Audiobooks are one of the fastest-growing audio segments on mobile. An audiobook mobile app brings even more utility to the user than a paper book ever could?

01
The Challenge
The challenge is to Design an Audiobook or Podcasting mobile app that is highly personal, interactive, and also with the ability to bring even more utility to the user that a book could ever do. For the start, we needed to find out all the issues that people are having with audiobooks and traditional books. With audiobooks blooming in the market, our goal was to find out the concise list of frustrations and to address each one of them and fix these problems. By analyzing the majority of users lose their place while listening and are missing out on the tactile experience of a real book. We wanted to read the opinion of every kind of user to see what they like and don't like about reading. We are hoping to come across more ideas this way to design the complete solution.
02
Discover
The research showed us a few things like the majority of people using audiobooks are listening while commuting or doing any other activity. The same user would then pick up the regular book if they have time. The regular book user takes time out of their day to read. They also like to be able to take pride in the books they read, using their bookshelf like a trophy case. Showing their collection of books was a way to show off accomplishments. The results were fairly general like a kind of brain dump of specific opinions which resulted to interview people individually.

User Goals
To provide the use of the audiobooks while commuting, and also being able to take notes, share quotes and passages in the same program.
To see the recommended title and other
relevant book suggestions and to preview a book before buying.
An option to have some kind of a public library to show off the books that the user read.
User Frustrations
Losing their place in the audiobook or forgetting the context of where they
left off.
Not knowing how far along they are in the book.
When they dislike a voice actor.
03
Ideation
Between the empathize and define stages getting research insights from the different sets of users helped us to delve into the mindset of the user base and devise a plan for solving user challenges. The ideate stage was the beginning of implementing the plan with a set of sketches. After multiple drafts of sketches, we arrived at a flow that made sense within the App Interface and really solved the Bookmarks Accessibility, narration style, and lack of concentration on pain points. we decided to jump directly from these low-fidelity wireframes straight to a high-fidelity prototype to create a simple intuitive interface that is extremely simple and easy to understand.

User Thinks
I am Terrible at Multitasking, but I am So Bored When I am driving.
I love the convenience of being able to listen to my fav book while doing other things.
I literally have no time for reading and also my eyes are so tired by the end of the day.
I am a working Mom who has time for reading.
There is nothing like Falling asleep to the sound of a Great Book. Reading is the way that I relax after a hard day.

Design
The design is basically to integrate audio with visual text, so the user can switch between formats depending on the task he is trying to accomplish. Since audiobooks are not music, and we believe it is possible to create a much more fluid experience for audiobooks, the one that is different from a music app. At every point, we have ensured that design does not dictate the content, and hence, the visual elements are thought through at each stage. Every design asset used is clear and concise throughout the app.
Also, a curated experience is a part of providing a virtual Library experience consisting of access to all previous Reads, Bookmarks, Favorites. It Design consists of ALERTS, Pushed Notifications to Target DESIRED suggestions. Here, the SAVED notes can also be Visual /Audio. Narration can also be Accustomed to Users requirement and adaptability.
