The Challenge 

The challenge is to design a mobile app for personalized hair care products where a person can take a quiz to his/her hair care regime and preferences of their choice to receive a complete hair care solution kit. The company started with the aim of revolutionizing the personal care and beauty industry, starting with hair care products that include shampoos, hair oils, hair serums, conditioners, masks, etc. To provide the user with a constructive hair care quiz to design an accurate product solving the issues of the hair care regime.

Discover

Most of the people in India are living the ideology of having beautifully nourished hair, But certainly, fail to achieve the targeted goals and often suffers from the hair fall, dandruff, grey, rough and dull hair, etc due to different weather conditions, smoke, dust and other various reasons. Here Bareanatomy comes which the solution to all these problems according to the different hair types, geographic locations, lifestyle, and preferences. Here we identified the user problems and goals through a personalized quiz to provide the desired hair care products based on one's unique hair structure and data provided.

To have beautiful, natural-looking hair which is silky, bouncy, strong, and less entangled.

To Prevent hair fall, dandruff, premature grey hair, hair-breakage, split-ends.

To achieve their desired goals of flaunting healthy looking hair, aromatic, refreshing, 

moisturized soft hair.

User Frustrations

I am suffering from a lot of hair fall, dry and rough hair.

I am having a lot of dandruff and flaky scalp causing too much itching and 

irritation.

Due to the extreme weather conditions like pollution and humidity, it turned my hair dull, rough and gives an unpleasant look.

Ideation

It was extremely critical for us to do user research and understand the real emotions, motivations, pain points, and triggers of our users residing in the different geographical locations of our country and their hair types. Alongside BareAnatomy research and development team walked us through the different hair types, listing off their products and helped us with their unique questionnaire process designed for the Indian hair and skin types.

 

Our main motive was to study the behavior of the users, their goals and priorities, and to simplify the process of solving their hair-related problems. Categorizing the personal care needs with a wide range of products available according to their unique hair type, preferences, and to keep the track 

record of the data provided by the users for an extremely personalized hair care solutions.

Design

The design starts with the introductory onboarding screens to provide a clear understanding of the product, personalization, and survey. The landing page consists of the quiz, BareAnatomy 

Expertise, Wide range of personalized products, and user reviews. On the blog page of the app, the user would be able to see the latest launched product. We used cards to showcase the exclusive 

blog post articles of hair types, hair care tips, and tricks, suggestions, etc.

The design is simplified to explain the user, the advanced science technology to prepare unique botanical formulations based on every individual hair type and requirements. The design comes with a subscription-based model to ease the efforts put in by the user every time while 

re-ordering the product. Also providing the customization of the product in every order showing the old and new formulation according to the user needs. The notification tab provides the latest information on newly launched products,  discounts, public events organized by the company.
